HEIC · PNG · JPEG · WebP · AVIF · GIF · SVG

iPhones save photos as HEIC to keep files small, but many apps, websites and Windows PCs can’t open them. Lumagely decodes HEIC/HEIF right on your device and re-encodes it to JPG, keeping the correct orientation — your photos never leave your phone or computer.

How to convert HEIC to JPG

  1. 1Drop your .heic or .heif files in, or paste them — add as many as you like.
  2. 2JPG is already selected as the output; pick a quality or a target size if you want.
  3. 3Download each JPG, or grab the whole batch as a ZIP.

Good to know

  • HEIC is decoded with the libheif WebAssembly engine, so it works even in browsers with no native HEIC support.
  • EXIF orientation is honoured, so portrait photos stay upright.
  • Need a different format? PNG, WebP and AVIF are one click away.

HEIC to JPG — questions

Why won’t my HEIC photos open on Windows or the web?

HEIC is an Apple format that older apps, Windows and most websites don’t support. Converting to JPG makes the photo open everywhere.

Does converting HEIC to JPG lose quality?

JPG is lossy, but at the default quality the difference is invisible. You can raise the quality, or switch to PNG for a lossless copy.

Can I convert many HEIC files at once?

Yes. Add a whole batch, convert them together and download everything as a single ZIP.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. Every HEIC is decoded and re-encoded on your own device — nothing is ever sent to a server.
